Snakes and Ladders Game

Snakes and Ladders is a classic and very popular children's board game in England. It requires a least two players and a board consisting of a grid with snakes and ladders, hence its name. The size of the board can vary, but is typically 8 x 8, 10 x 10, or 12 x 12. The arrangement of the snakes and ladders can also vary, but the fundamental concept of the game is the same. The game is very simple and highly prone to dramatic reversals of luck for the players, all of which makes it quite popular with children. By the same token, its lack of a skill or strategic requirement does not make it terribly popular with adults. The fundamental concept of the of the game was also introduced to the United States under the name of "Chutes and Ladders".
