My Mind -- My Most Prized Possession!  

This has been the most difficult lens that I have authored to date. Why is it so difficult? The Giant Squid Summer School assignment for the second week was to create a lens on our most prized possession -- to take a look around our house and find that one thing that is most meaningful to us and to write about it. I took this task to heart and started to think, 'what is my most prized possession?' When hubby got home, I asked him. You know what he said? First he said it's my computer as I am attached at the hip to my computer. Next, he quickly said that he was my most prized possession. Hmmm, perhaps!But as I progressed into dream land that night, I realized that although I probably could name a few tangible prized possessions, the most important 'possession' would have to be my mind! 'For, what else would matter in the world if I were to be of half a mind or worse yet, to lose my mind? If I were to lose my mind, I would be an empty person, an empty soul.' --JaguarJulie
