Annual Parade of Boats in Astor Fl  

Florida is well known for it's palm trees, oranges, and alligators and definitely not for a picturesque white Christmas.But we do have our own unique ways to celebrate the season. Santa may even arrive by boat or bi-plane instead of a sleigh. Our Christmas parades do not always take place down a street but on a waterway instead. In fact many communities feature holiday boat parades. You know, there really is nothing more festive than a sparkling procession of boats decked out in lights gliding effortlessly across the water in the dark. I can't think of a better way to get in the holiday spirit.<!-- wysiwyg -->
