Birding in Antarctica with Grandma

Antarctica is a continent located literally at the bottom of the world. The weather there is extremely cold. Antarctica is almost completely covered by ice and snow for much of the year. Very few people live there, except in the small towns of McMurdo and Palmer on the seashore. There is a science station at the South Pole where experiments are done relating mostly to weather and space exploration.Of the 35 species of seabirds that live south of the Antarctic Convergence, only 19 species breed on the Antarctic continent itself. By the way, how many species of penguins are there in the world? How many can you name?Explore my lenses.
