Reference: Local media survival depends on Low Cost Sales Models
Dear Business Owner,
I am writing to introduce you to a new online advertising model and concept for small and medium-size businesses. Today more and more people are going online to search for products and services. As a result of this shift from old media to new media, traditional Yellow Pages and newspapers are slowly dwindling in most local markets. This means that local advertisers will need to look for new and innovative ways of generating cost effective targeted sales leads.
Currently most online advertising models such as Pay-Per-Click and display ads are flawed, ineffective, and susceptible to fraud. With Pay-Per-Click advertisers pay their host when their ad is clicked, and typically bid on keyword phrases relevant to their target market. Determining the intent of these clicks is a big challenge. At the present time, one search company controls almost 80 percent of these online advertising models. This means small and medium-size businesses will have to compete and bid against large multinational companies for sales leads.
We realize that small and medium-size businesses have interest in other online marketing tools like Search, Email and other non-display tactics. We have developed a new internet advertising concept called Pay-Per-Chat that allows online consumers to post short-text messages in the form of questions or needs from their computer, which are then sent to targeted advertisers who can respond to those requests in real-time from their email or mobile phone. Advertisers pay as little as $0.25 cents to receive and respond to local targeted sales leads. There is no bidding or click fraud involved. This is a very low sales model in comparison to other forms of online and offline marketing. We firmly believe this is the future of local advertising.
Please go to www.stumpedia.com to sign-up for this service today. Once you sign-up you can choose unlimited keyword phrases relevant to your target market.
As an incentive and a little economic stimulus to help jump-start the global economy, we are offering free advertising for all of 2009. I’ll say that again – FREE advertising through the end of this year! That should be incentive enough to at least try and experiment with the service.
If you have any questions or need any help signing up please call or email me. And please pass this information along to other small and medium-size businesses in the area.
Sincerely,Luis Pereira,Founder & CEO Stumpedia.com

The global recession of 2009 will probably go down in history as the precise time when newspapers, yellow pages directory, direct mail ads, and overall print advertising died. The death of print advertising bought new mediums and forms of real-time advertising that connected consumers with advertisers instantly. For consumers these new forms of advertising were non-intrusive and instantly available to them whenever convenient. For advertisers these new forms of advertising delivered precisely targeted leads at a significantly less cost than their predecessors. These new forms of advertising allowed both consumers and advertisers to engage in real-time communication from their mobile devices. Consumers were instantly empowered with the ability to negotiate prices and advertisers were rewarded with a stream of consumer leads. Twitter is one example of this new advertising medium and Pay-Per-Chat is another great example.

Now that the Wikia Search project has been shut down, Stumpedia is the only hope left for a democratic search engine.
Companies with commercial interests have unmerited exclusive authority to determine ranking and relevancy of public data.
The promotion of democracy and respect for human rights is a central aspect of development around the world.Censorship is detrimental to the fundamentals of our values and our freedom as individuals to choose and think for ourselves. Stumpedia’s moto of “Search For the People By The People” is powered by the very people that use it.

We may be a bit biased here when we say that Stumpedia can help fix and alleviate the economic crisis that we are in today, but we believe we really can. Within the next couple of days we will be launching our unique online advertising platform. It’s a concept that empowers both consumers and advertisers and will be free for all of 2009. Unlike the Pay-Per-Click model whereby advertisers bid on keywords and pay for clicks to their web site, Stumpedia’s Pay-Per-Chat model matches consumers inquires to advertisers in real-time. Users are presented with a non-obstructive dialog box every time they perform a keyword search that matches an advertiser’s business and are given the opportunity to directly contact those advertisers with just one simple request.
Consumers get personalized responses in the form of text messages which may include price quotes, estimates, and answers from advertisers that compete for their business within seconds, not hours or days. Advertisers get targeted online sales leads from real people with real consumer needs and pay only for the leads they respond to.
As an incentive and a little economic stimulus to help jump-start the global economy, we will be offering free advertising for all of 2009. The overall value proposition here is a more faithfully trackable internet advertising model for advertisers, something sorely lacking in the current Pay-Per-Click model.

Sticking to our theme and belief that human-powered social search is the future, we are excited to announce a new search feature that will enable our users and community members the opportunity to connect and chat with each other in real-time. Think of it as instant messaging meets Yahoo! Answers. This is another new and exciting way to meet new people and share your knowledge and interests with the world on Stumpedia.
The Real-Time Human-Powered Search Engine that connects you to your online peers.
You want to know if… You want to know how… You wonder which CD to buy for your friend’s birthday… You can sift through the multiple documents that search engines present you, scan the points of view displayed on your favorite forums, write a question and wait until somebody finds your request, or reflect upon the automated recommendations offered by your preferred vendors… What if you could also get a personalized response right away, in real-time? Just as you often seek help or advice from people around you in the offline world, why not leverage your virtual neighborhood’s expertise! This is what Stumpedia, using Muchobene, allows you to do in the simplest possible fashion.
Asking questions
Simply enter and submit your question from the Stumpedia Instant Answers page. You do not need to provide a profile, create a username or remember a password. Stumpedia selected the Muchobene power engine because it identifies and connects you in real-time to the people currently online who appear to be most competent to assist you - either in a given partner community or in other user groups. Converse freely and rate your conversation at the end.
Answering questions
You may also want to be able to answer questions and share your own experience. In this case, install the Muchobene plug-in. If Muchobene routes a question to you, a pop-up will appear and show you a question. You can accept the question and respond to it, or decline to answer. As the community grows your help will be requested every now and then. If you have chosen the Ask Me! status, you may be invited to participate more frequently.
Stumpedia is committed to offering you the best possible responses to your question at any given time based on who is online. However, we cannot guarantee that they will always be the absolute best responses. When you make a search using a standard text search engine, you are sometimes given conflicting statements and opinions. This is also true of a human-powered search engine. We all have to do our homework, evaluate information and make personal decisions. Yet we all like to have a relevant starting point. Using the Muchobene engine will certainly help you get started.
Thank you for taking part in the Stumpedia community.
